 Florida DCF ITN SNR0809CBC01 for a Lead Agency for Community-Based Care
in the Southern Region: Miami-Dade & Monroe Counties
On December 15, 2008, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
released an invitation to negotiate (ITN SNR0809CBC01) for a contractor
to provide foster care and related services in Miami-Dade and Monroe
counties in DCFs Southern Region Circuits 11 and 16. Services will
include emergency shelter, in-home protective services, relative care
placements, foster care, therapeutic foster care, foster care
supervision, case management, post-placement supervision, permanent
foster care, intensive residential treatment, independent living, family
reunification, family preservation, adoption, and appropriate related
services.
Notices of intent to submit a bid were due by December 22, 2008;
proposals were due January 26, 2008. An award announcement is
expected by February 16, 2009. The new contract will start on July 1,
2009 and run through June 30, 2014, with one renewal period. The
estimated value for the full five-year contract term is $490.7 million.
