 Title IV-E State Plan Amendment: Guardianship Assistance Program; Title
IV-E Guardianship Demonstration Projects; Fostering Connections to
Success & Increasing Adoption Act of 2008
The purpose of this Program Instruction released by the federal Administration for Children and Families is to provide interested
State Title IV-E agencies and Tribes instruction on how to implement and
operate the Guardianship Assistance Program plan option as
authorized by the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing
Adoptions Act of 2008, Public Law 110-351. The provisions of the
Fostering Connections Act started January 1, 2009.
