The Governor of Arizona presented the state's current and upcoming budget problems. As of January 15, 2010, Arizona had a deficit of $1.4 billion for the
current 2009-2010 fiscal year. For the coming fiscal year that starts in July 2010, the state projects a deficit of $3.2 billion. Over the past three years state
revenues have dropped by 40%.
