Audit of the FY 2006 Fund
Status at the Mental
Retardation & Developmental
Disabilities Administration
The District of
Columbia Office of the
Inspector General (OIG)
conducted the audit at the
request of DC City
Councilman Adrian Fenty. The
report contains two
sections: the first details
findings of management
operations relative to
identifying program needs,
maximizing the use of
available funds from
available federal sources,
and reducing costs for
services. The second section
provides details about
compliance with
anti-deficiency laws.
The OIG made 13
recommendations to correct
identified deficiencies. The
DC agencies involved,
including the Mental
Retardation and
Developmental Disabilities
Administration, responded to
the report.
