 Commonwealth of Virginia: Executive Biennial Budget 2008-2010
This budget, proposed by Governor Tim Kaine, would increase funding for
foster care and adoptive services, including a $36.2 million increase in
state and federal matching funds over two years for the basic foster care
repayment rate. Funds would also be focused toward foster parent
recruitment and retention. It would increase matching payments for foster
care and community-based programs and reduce the payment rate for
services in residential settings.
