 ResCare Inc. Presentation at Piper Jaffray Healthcare Conference
ResCare, Inc. speakers presented the company's current status and
outlook. The company has three operating segments:

Community services for people with mental
retardation and/or developmental disabilities

Employment training services that provide job
training and employment placement to assist people entering or
re-entering the workforce

Job Corps training services that provide
educational and vocational training for disadvantaged youth between the
ages of 16 and 24
ResCare's community services segment, which
contributed to 11.8% of 2007 year-to-date revenues, holds five percent of
the United States market share in the number of people served. Its
largest competitor is National Mentor, which holds three percent market
share in the number of people served.
ResCare's growth strategy relies on "tuck in" acquisitions of smaller
service providers in the highly fragmented home and community services
market. It will actively seek new Workforce Investment Act and Temporary
Aid for Needy Families contracts to provide workforce training services.
It will also expand the use of a pharmacy initiative and rest assured
remote monitoring services.
