 Pennsylvania Independent Regulatory Review Commission Assessment of
Proposed Assisted Living Regulations
These are findings of a review of the Pennsylvania Department of Public
Welfare's proposed assisted living regulations that were released August
9, 2008. The review was conducted by the Pennsylvania Independent
Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC). The IRRC report, released on October
15, 2008, reflects concerns raised by legislators, consumers, and health
care providers. More than 500 comments were submitted to IRRC about the
proposed regulation.
