 Technology as the Next Disruptive Innovation in Behavioral Health:
Thoughts on How Consumerism and Technology Will Define Our Future
This presentation took place during the 2008 Institute for Behavioral
Health Informatics. It provides examples of technology and trends, such
as neurotechnology, e-health, and health care informatics, that could be
disruptive to social service and behavioral health organizations.
Disruptive technology was projected to force organizations to change
their service models to provide consumer choice at the lowest possible
cost to payers.
