Florida Correctional Medical Authority: Annual Report 2008-2009

The Florida Correctional Medical Authority (FCMA) reported on inmate health care statistics and demographics for the fiscal year. In a separate section of the report, the FCMA isolated costs associated with caring for inmates over the age of 55. The FCMA noted that the health costs of older inmates were nearly triple the cost of health care for the average inmate population.
