Social Security Act Section 1937 (a)(2)(B)

New Centers for Medicare and Medicaid regulations allow children and individuals with severe needs to be enrolled in standard comprehensive Medicaid instead of Medicaid benchmark plans. Most individuals who are newly eligible for Medicaid under the health reform will be enrolled in benchmark plans. This section of the Social Security Act includes a full list of individuals exempt from Medicaid benchmark coverage.
