Report of the Task Force on Child Welfare Accountability
Abused and neglected children typically do not receive necessary services and integration as quickly or as soon as possible. Infants and young children who are not
able to protect themselves have a high risk of death. This report by the Maryland Task Force on Child Welfare Accountability discusses the need for an effective
system of intervention and support for those children and infants in need. The Task Force conducted an evaluation that included the following recommendations:
long-term commitment to excellence, outcome measurement system, and a quality assurance system.
