Medicaid Program; Coverage for Rehabilitative Services; Withdrawal
On November 23, 2009, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) officially withdrew a 2007 proposed rule that would have limited Medicaid
coverage for rehabilitative services, which help fund community-based services for people with physical and mental disabilities. CMS withdrew the rule to
assure agency flexibility in re-examining the issues and exploring options and alternatives with stakeholders.
