 Florida Agency for Health care Administration Request for Proposal
0603 Child Welfare Prepaid Mental Health Plan
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) seeks a
vendor to operate the Child Welfare Prepaid Mental Health Plan (CWPMHP)
for a sub-population of children involved in the statewide child
welfare system through a prepaid, capitated arrangement. AHCA
intends to award one contract. The contract is anticipated to start
on July 1, 2006, for a three-year term to end on June 30, 2009.
On August 2, 2006, AHCA awarded the CWPMHP contract to a partnership
between Magellan Health Services of Florida and Community-Based Care
of Seminole County, Inc. The partnership also includes many
Community-Based Care Lead Agencies throughout the state as limited
partners. Behavioral health services will be provided under the
terms of the contract to all limited partner agencies.
