ShareNew Jersey DAS Announcement of Funds for Substance Abuse Treatment Per the Bloodborne Disease Harm Reduction Act Part 2 Supportive Housing

This Request for Proposals (RFP) calls for the provision of 62 unit of subsidized housing and two Intensive Supportive Housing (ISH) teams to provide services to 62 clients. The development of innovative housing services is encouraged, based on best practice models, accompanied by the use of independent living skills to promote self-sufficiency. The Supportive Housing programs will be based on the Housing First model for homeless or near homeless people with substance use problems. Priority will be given to intravenous drug users who are participating in a syringe exchange program.


Proposals were due October 10, 2007. Awards are expected by November 13, 2007.
