ShareNew Jersey Announces Funds for Substance Abuse Treatment Per the Bloodborne Disease Harm Reduction Act Part 1 Mobile Medication/Office Based Services/Outreach


The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Addiction Services seeks proposals for substance abuse treatment pursuant to the Bloodborne Disease Harm Reduction Act for a mobile medication unit that will provide methadone maintenance, suboxone detoxification and induction, maintenance, and corresponding office based services six days per week to intravenous drug users in Asbury Park, East Orange, Elizabeth, Irvington, Jersey City, Newark, New Brunswick, or Plainfield. The location of the mobile medication unit will be in close proximity to the sterile syringe access program or serve to address any gaps in service need identified by the Division.

Contracts have already been awarded to serve the cities of Atlantic City, Camden, Trenton, and Paterson, New Jersey. A mandatory bidders' conference is scheduled for November 28, 2007. Proposals are due January 11, 2008.
