IT's Critical Role in Enabling Mobile Work

This report was written by Future of Work, a membership organization for HR, IT, & Facilities Professionals and is titled IT's Critical Role in Enabling Mobile Work. The report outlines the "anywhere office" available in corporate American today. WDC research has shown that for the last several years over two-third of work being done in the US today takes place outside corporate central office facilities. This report focuses on the critical role IT plays in the corporate revolution. An online survey was conducted to learn how IT supports flexible work. Over 400 IT executives and professionals responded to a series of questions about how their organizations supported mobile work and what challenges mobile work presents to IT organizations. The results of these series of questions are presented in the conclusion of the report.
