Become The Lead Agency for Community-Based Care in District 8: Lee, Collier,
Charlotte, Hendry, & Glades Counties
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking qualified
Florida-based non-profit or governmental
community-based organizations that are interested in serving as the
lead agency in District 8 for an integrated system of care for the
provision of foster care and related services. Proposals are due by
November 30, 2006. Awards are expected to be announced by December
13, 2006.
A formal transition plan for phase-in to full operations will be
mutually developed between DCF, the successful vendor and
the incumbent lead agency should the incumbent not be the successful
vendor. The transition plan will be completed after the award appeal
notice period and before the contract is executed.
