 Report of Task Force into Critical Incidents within the Iowa Prison System
Governor Tom Vilsack, concerned about the deaths of two IOWA inmates at the Anamosa State Penitentiary (ASP), asked the Citizen's Aide/Ombudsman to review the incidents and provide assessment of each incident. The Governor also asked the Ombudsman to propose a set of recommendations for improving inmate and staff safety within ASP.
