ShareEmployer-Sponsored Health Insurance Erosion Continues: Unabated declines in coverage since 2000 are expected to worsen through 2009

Elise Gould, Ph.D., of the Economic Policy Institute assessed the effect of the current recession on the availability of employer-sponsored health insurance between 2000 and 2008. The data indicated that fewer Americans have access to employer-sponsored health insurance, from 68.3% in 2000 to 61.9% in 2008.
