 Invitation to Negotiate Lead Agency for Community-Based Care in
Florida DCF District One: Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa & Walton
Counties
On October 2, 2006, the Florida Department of Children and Families
(DCF) released an invitation to negotiate (ITN-D01-0607-002) seeking
a qualified not-for-profit or governmental agency to serve as the
lead agency for an integrated system of care for the provision of
foster care and related services in District 1. District 1
encompasses the Florida counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa,
and Walton. A mandatory vendor conference took place October 12,
2006. Proposals are due November 13, 2006, and bid results will be
made public by November 20, 2006.
The contractor is to provide services, including emergency shelter;
in-home protective services; relative care placements; therapeutic
and permanent foster care; foster care supervision; case management;
post-placement supervision; intensive residential treatment;
independent living; family reunifications and preservation;
adoption; and appropriate related services. The term of the contract
is for the period of July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2012.
