In the past few years, a number of new technologies have arrived in the marketplace that facilitate a new degree of freedom for consumers with disabilities and chronic health care conditions - and reduce costs. Smart home technology allows persons with disabilities to retain a level of independence within their home which previously would have been thought impossible. Examine how this technology changes the face of care and support services for persons with disabilities.
