 Certification Handbook: Ambulatory EHR Products 2006
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT)
has issued this handbook to help health care information technology
vendors navigate the certification processes for their products.
Vendors interested in having their products certified should review
the Functionality, Interoperability, and Security-Reliability
Criteria documents, then practice demonstrating their product using
the scenarios and steps in the Test Script document. The process of
applying for certification, supplying documentation, scheduling a
test date, and undergoing the inspection is also described. The
Certification Agreement is available for review as well. Answers to
Frequently Asked Questions are posted on-line at
www.cchit.org.
