New York State Department of Health Medicaid Redesign Team Behavioral Health Work Group Final Recommendations

The New York Department of Health Medicaid Realignment Team is developing plans to improve care coordination and reduce costs. The Behavioral Health Work Group recommendations addressed the integration of substance abuse and mental health services, as well as the integration of these services with physical health care services, through the various payment and delivery models. The work group also made recommendations about opportunities for the co-location of services, peer and managed addiction treatment services, and their potential integration with managed behavioral health organization services.
