ShareCalifornia Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation 2009 Annual Report for Adult Programs: Division of Addiction & Recovery Services

In this annual report, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Division of Addiction and Recovery Services (DARS), described outcomes of its adult rehabilitation programs. The substance abuse treatment data is based on offenders who completed both in-prison and community care treatment. CDCR recognizes that there may be some selection problems by focusing only on offenders that completed the program. Future analyses will attempt to assess all offenders assigned to a substance abuse treatment program, including those who do not complete the program. DARS provides evidence- based substance use disorder treatment services to California's inmates and parolees.
