ShareEvaluation of the Life Skills Training Program: Los Angeles County

The federal Administration for Children and Families contracted with the Urban Institute, Chapin Hall Center for Children, and the National Opinion Research Center to evaluate services offered under the Foster Care Independence Act of 1999 to provide support to youth making the transition to independent living. This is the final report on the results of an evaluation of the Los Angeles County, California classroom-based life-skills training (LST) program. The evaluation found that LST, delivered in a classroom setting has little impact on foster care youths.
