DRAFT RFP: Virginia Medicaid/FAMIS Plus/FAMIS Behavioral Health Services Administrator

The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services sent out a draft request for proposal (RFP) seeking stakeholder comments on its plans to contract with a Behavioral Health Services Administrator (BHSA) for enrolled members of Virginia's Medicaid/FAMIS Plus/FAMIS programs who receive behavioral health services provided by the fee for service system and not provided through a managed care organization. The final RFP is expected in late 2011, with an anticipated contract start by July 1, 2012.
