Ohio Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force Final Report

On October 1, 2010, the Ohio Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force released its final report with recommendations for the Governor on how to reduce the incidence of unintentional drug poisoning. The Task Force recommended the state increase and diversify funding for addiction treatment and prevention of prescription drug misuse, abuse, and overdose. The task force also recommended that the state work with health care professionals and provider organizations to improve use of the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System and implement standards for pain management clinics.
