The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is preparing to implement an electronic medical records system based on open source software that will enable
the state psychiatric centers to use computerized entry of physician orders and bar-coded medication administration. The new EMR system will also include a
standardized set of clinical record forms developed by the New York State Clinical Record Initiative (NYSCRI) for use by outpatient both day and residential programs
for adults and children.
