 Pierce County, Washington RSN Letter to Governor Christine Gregoire
In a letter to Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire, executive of the Pierce County Regional Support Network (PCRSN), John Ladenburg, expressed the inability of the PCRSN to meet its needs due to lack of funding from the 2007-2009 state budget. He notes that the organization was not allocated sufficient state funds to
fulfill its contract requirements with the state. This in turn has forced layoffs, resource closures, and
under funding of services.
Mr. Ladenburg asked the Governor for an additional $3.7 million for each year of the budget. He noted that he would not sign any
additional contracts with the state's Mental Health Division without the extra funds.
