region. Caswell will serve the east; Murdoch will serve the central area;
and Riddle will serve the western region.
Within its region, each center will provide additional specialty
programs.
-
Caswell will provide a 10-bed Mental
Retardation/Mental Illness program for men with dual diagnoses
-
Murdoch will provide a 12-bed program for young
men with developmental disabilities and failed community placements
and/or criminal offenses; a 10-bed autism treatment and habilitation
program for children; two 4-bed group homes for children with autism; and
an 18-bed specialized treatment program for adolescents with both mental
retardation and mental illness
-
Riddle will provide a rapid response team to
consult with Broughton Hospital if individuals with a dual mental
retardation and mental illness are admitted as Broughton patients.
