Florida Department of Children & Families Long-Range Program Plan for Fiscal Years 2010-2011 Through 2014-2015
The Florida Department of Children and Families presented its long-range plans to meet four key goals. The goals are as follows:

Children and adults should be free from abuse, neglect, violence or exploitation.

Children and adults must have their basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and good health met.

Adults, children, and families should be active, self-sufficient participants living
in their own homes and communities.

A key goal is to reduce the number of children in out-of-home care by 50% by 2012.
DCF also seeks to commit to providing integrated, efficient, timely, accurate, effective, and transparent organization
