Income, Poverty, & Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2008

The report by U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Commerce presents data on income, poverty, and health insurance coverage in the United States based on information collected in 2009 and earlier Annual Social and Economic Supplements to the Current Population Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. The data show that between 2007 and 2008, real median household income fell, the decline was widespread and coincided with the recession that began in December 2007.
