Getting Started with Evidence-Based Practices: Illness Management and Recovery

The United States Department of Health and Human Services published their Knowledge Informing Transformation (KIT) on Illness Management and Recovery. This KIT, titled, Getting Started with Evidence-Based Practice: Illness Management and Recovery, gives the reader an overview of activities that are generally involved in implementing evidence-based practices (EBPs) and explains how to make EBPs culturally competent. The topics discussed in this KIT are building support for the EBP, integrating the EBP into agency policies and procedures, training staff agency wide on basic EBP principles, and information on ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the program.
