The State of Child Welfare in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Porch Light Project, an initiative of Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children in collaboration with Casey Family Programs, released a report with the child welfare statistics by county. The report revealed that their were fewer foster care placements in 2010 than in 2009. The number of children living in foster care has decreased 12%, and the number of children entering the foster care system has decreased 16%.
