ShareIntegrating Mental Health Services into Hospice Settings

Psychiatric symptoms can be seen in people with untreated incurable diseases or severe mental illnesses who reside in mental health services. To ease stress and pain from families, mental health services are finding homes in hospices. However, much improvement is needed to make the services proficient. This report, by the Palliative Care Psychiatric Program and the Institute for Palliative Medicine, explains how these programs have worked to address particular issues in the mental health service in hospices.
