Results From The 2012 National Survey On Drug Use & Health (NSDUH)

September 15, 2013

The National Survey on Drug Use and Health is an annual report on the survey responses. The federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration analyzes the survey responses to determine national trends related to nine categories of illicit drug use. Illicit drug use includes illegal substances (marijuana, cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens), inhalants, and non-medical use of prescription pain relievers, tranquilizers, stimulants, and sedatives. The analysis presents findings by age group, racial or ethnic minority status, gender, and other demographic variables.
