Arizona House Bill 2010; Criminal Justice; Budget Reconciliation
Arizona's latest budget signed September 3, 2009, included this bill that will permit the state to seek proposals to lease 5,000 prison beds to private
corrections companies for $100 million. The Arizona Department of Corrections will issue a request for information before October 1, 2009, to identify the
feasibility of a concession agreement to permit a private vendor to operate one or more prison facilities.
