 New York State Senate Bill 4118 Regarding Privatized State-Owned
Correctional Facilities
Governor Eliot Spitzer signed the legislation on July 3, 2007 and it
becomes effective in early October 2007.The legislation amends Chapter
202 of corrections law to specify that the supervision of people
sentenced to state and local correctional facilities is a
non-transferable governmental responsibility.
