 Connecticut DSS Recommendations & Transmittal of Southern Connecticut
State University Study Regarding Reestablishment
of a Department on Aging
This memo summarizes the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS)
response to the study recommendations and proposes an alternate structure
for the coming Department of Aging. DSS prefers a expert advocate role
for the new department to avoid moving Medicaid programs and to avoid
duplication of programs.
