A View of The Future, A Five-Year Strategic Plan

The Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) is engaged in a continuous planning process and has developed this document to provide a picture of where the Department expects to be in the next five-years. Even as this plan is produced, we are cycling through a dynamic process of assessment, plan development, implementation, and evaluation and plan modification. This is an ever-evolving plan in which we intend to up-date as significant changes occur. 

What follows is a summary of the accomplishments and future directions of agencies and programs with the Department of Health and Hospitals. Included are the Bureau of Primary Care and Rural Health, Bureau of Community Supports and Services, the Bureau of Minority Health Access, the Bureau of Health Services Financing (Medicaid), the Office of Public Health, the Office of Mental Health, the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities and the Office for Addictive Disorders.
