 The Porch Light Project: Forever Family for Every Child
This brief highlights efforts by the Porch Light Project to implement public policies in Pennsylvania that help assure a forever family for every child- a home where
the porch light is always left on to guide and welcome a child home. It reviews the number of children and youth in foster care, and discusses strategies for
strengthening families, enhancing placement stability, and promoting permanence. The need to prioritize permanent homes for older youth in foster care is
emphasized.
