CHIRI, Child Health Insurance Research Initiative, is a program to help policymakers improve access to health care for low-income children. This brief, researched and written by CHIRI, explains findings on Children's Health Insurance Program, a program for children whose families have too much income for Medicaid but do not have private health insurance. The purpose of the brief is to refine the health care for the children by providing suggestions to policymakers.
