ShareHealth Policy Brief: Should employers be required to pay a substantial share of their employees' health insurance or to subsidize coverage of the uninsured?

In 2009, working people and their dependents make up about three-fourths of 50 million people in the United States who do not have health insurance. Some employees believe employers should have a shared responsibility to help provide coverage. On the other hand, other employees believe employment-based insurance is an anachronism and needs to be replaced with a individual-based system.
