Invitation to Apply for FY2010 Planning Grant: The Money Follows the Person Rebalancing Demonstration Program CMS-1LI-11-002

On August 4, 2010, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a grant solicitation for MFP planning grants, “Invitation to Apply for FY2010 Planning Grant: The Money Follows the Person Rebalancing Demonstration Program CMS-1LI-11-002.” The response due date was set for September 7, 2010; awards announcements have been planned for September 30, 2010. The grant is expected to cover states’ MFP planning activities from October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011. CMS has anticipated making from five to twenty awards; the maximum value for the planning grants has been capped at $200,000 per state.
