CAP-MR/DD Update (Released as a CAP Update on 7-21-09 REVISED for Implementation Update)

The new North Carolina state budget signed August 7, 2009, cut funding for individuals receiving Community Alternatives Program for Mental Retardation and Developmentally Disabled (CAP-MR/DD) services; now CAP-MR/DD recipients are not eligible for any state-funded services except those for which there is no comparable service in the CAP-MR/DD waiver. This memo details steps the state's Local Management Entities are taking to ensure a smooth transition.
