New Realities of an Older America: Challenges, Changes, and Questions
In this report, the Stanford Center on Longevity analyzed statistics about older adults to identify potential effects on housing, health care, personal finance, and public
policy through 2050. Each analysis section presented historical trend data, with projections through 2050, and proposed how change is likely to manifest and potential
challenges. The areas of analysis included population aging, increased racial and ethnic diversity, changes in living arrangements, evolving health care needs, and
challenges to financial well-being.
