Following a two-year study of
public policy related to marijuana, the Canadian Senate Special
Committee on Illegal Drugs found that the drug should be
legalized. Released on September 4, 2002, the Senate report,
entitled, Cannabis: Our Position For A Canadian Public Policy,
is a result of research, analysis and extensive public hearings in
Ottawa and communities throughout Canada with experts and
citizens.
