 Braam v. State of Washington: Final
Settlement
The parties agree
that the Department's Kids Come First Phase II (KCF II) is the
State's comprehensive plan to improve child welfare practice,
including the six general areas that are the subject of the
complaint filed by the Plaintiffs. The Department agrees to
improve the treatment and condition of children in the Plaintiff
class by making specific, measurable and enforceable commitments
as set forth herein. The Department further agrees to modify KCF
II to include the Goals, Outcomes, Benchmarks and Action Steps
identified in this Agreement within 30 days of the signing of the
Agreement and to make additional modifications to the KCF II.
