ShareElectronic Health Records: DOD and VA Efforts to Achieve Full Interoperability Are Ongoing; Program Office Management Needs Improvement

The National Defense Authorization Act released a set of goals and objectives for creating interoperability between the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs. The National Defense Authorization Act requires an expedited exchange of information. The Government Accountability Office, GAO, semiannually report on the progress made in conquering these goals. This report, by GAO, shares information about departments' progress towards interoperability and whether the accountability of the interagency office.
