 2008 Study of Consumer-Directed Health Plans
For this study by the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations,
data was collected through Mercers National Survey of Employer-Sponsored
Health Plans 2007. The data included nearly 3,000 organizations with ten or
more employees. Researchers found that enrollment in consumer-directed
health plans grew by 25% in 2007 from 10 million Americans in
2006 to 12.5 million.
